This June, SIMOS Solutions in Memphis helped 50 babies get a head start by partnering with the Mcfarland Community Center’s annual community baby shower for expectant and new mothers. SIMOS donated baby wipes and diapers for the expectant mothers, giving them a jump on care at a tumultuous time.
“The event was a huge success and SIMOS was honored to be a part of it,” said D’Erika Herrod, a SIMOS recruiter who formed the connection with Mcfarland’s event.
The annual event, sponsored by Poe Man’s Dream Foundation, a community organization founded by NFL player and University of Memphis alum Dontari Poe, offers new baby items to expectant and new mothers.
By joining forces with Mcfarland, SIMOS not only illustrated its commitment to the community, but hopes to expand its presence with the community organizations across Memphis that benefit children and babies. By helping make sure that babies are taken care of, they can also help ease parents’ minds while also connecting them to job opportunities in the area.
“We’re working to establish stronger relationships with our community organizations in Memphis to ensure that SIMOS continues its strong presence and connection within the community,” said Leigh Ann Frazier, regional recruiting manager for SIMOS.
